Tradition of Islamic Basic Education in Aceh

The tradition of basic Islamic education in Aceh adopts the concept lifelong education, which is fulfilled from age 0. This study aims to identify how through informal, formal, and non-formal based on National Education System Number 20 2003 Government Regulation 55 2007 concerning Religious Education. In addition, this also observe who plays an active role shaping basics children. research qualitative using a historical approach. Sources data information were obtained literature review understand context changes that have occurred education. collected was analyzed descriptively form discourse past present contexts. results indicate historically people only known two educational paths forming since children aged 0-12 years, namely informal formal Parents are significant foundation Aceh, addition teungku teachers. For has doda idi used educate 0-3 years. Furthermore, parents accompany their 7-8 years obtain at meunasah, but meunasah changed after independence Republic Indonesia.
